Blow to drug sales in Manzanares El Real: two arrested and record seizure

The Guardia Civil has dealt a major blow to drug trafficking in Manzanares El Real after dismantling a retail distribution point. The operation, carried out by officers from the Comandancia de Madrid, resulted in the arrest of two people and the seizure of marijuana, cocaine, and materials related to distribution.

The investigation began thanks to cooperation from local residents, who reported the possible existence of a drug sales point in a house in the town. Officers began discreet inquiries and soon gathered evidence pointing to illegal activity inside the property.

During the operation, investigators discovered that those involved were using a second house in the same locality as a storage site or "guardería" to hide the drugs. After obtaining judicial authorisation, the Guardia Civil raided both properties, where they found 511 grams of marijuana, cash, mobile phones, and various items used for selling substances.

The search did not end there. Inside a vehicle linked to the suspects, officers found half a kilo of cocaine, which increased the impact of the seizure and surprised local residents.

The operation concluded with the arrest of two people, who have already been brought before the courts accused of an alleged offence against public health for drug trafficking.
