Network distributing cocaine and hashish across Spain brought down in Madrid: six arrested
The Guardia Civil has dismantled a criminal network operating from Madrid and distributing cocaine and hashish across different parts of the country. The operation ended with six arrests and a significant seizure of drugs and money.
The investigation, begun in 2025, led officers to a home in Arganda del Rey that operated as a logistics centre. Large quantities of narcotics were stored there, protected by security systems to avoid detection.
The organisation had a defined structure, with a leader in Madrid and several members responsible for specific tasks. One of its key points was transport: they used vehicles with hidden compartments to move drugs and cash without arousing suspicion.
In the final phase, searches extended to several localities, including Arganda del Rey and San Sebastián de los Reyes. The operation yielded 179 kilograms of cocaine, 45 of hashish, nearly 245,000 euros in cash and several firearms.
Those arrested have been remanded in custody and are accused of offences against public health, illegal possession of weapons and membership of a criminal organisation. The operation highlights how some areas around Madrid are used as strategic points for this type of activity.
