Hofmann and easyJet surprise Barcelona with 500 free roscones for Epiphany

Barcelona is preparing for a sweet surprise at the start of the year: the Hofmann patisserie and easyJet airline will give away 500 roscones de Reyes on 3 and 4 January. The initiative will allow Barcelona residents to enjoy this traditional Christmas dessert for free, simply by going to the Hofmann patisserie in Turó Park and saying a special phrase.

During Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00 to 20:00, the first 250 visitors each day to go to 5 Pau Casals Avenue will be able to take home a roscón de Reyes free of charge. To get one, those interested will have to say the password that easyJet has prepared for the occasion, linked to its flights in 2026.

These roscones, made with classic panettone dough and decorated with fruit on top, stand out for their orange colour, in tribute to the airline’s corporate image. In addition, each sweet includes a crown and an aeroplane-shaped figure, instead of the traditional Three Kings, as a nod to the world of travel.

The collaboration between easyJet and Hofmann seeks to celebrate the Christmas spirit and encourage the desire to travel in the new year. Hofmann, recognised as Catalonia’s best patisserie between 2020 and 2023, is a landmark in the city and also has a hospitality school and a Michelin-starred restaurant.

This joint action turns the end of the festive season into a unique opportunity to savour one of the most emblematic sweets of Barcelona Christmas and, at the same time, dream of new destinations for 2026.
