ISE Barcelona expands to Montjuïc in 2026 and partners with the EdTech Congress
The audiovisual fair Integrated Systems Europe will take place at Montjuïc in 2026 and will join forces with the EdTech Congress, adding more space and new features in artificial intelligence and audiovisual production in Barcelona.
The Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) congress is taking another step in strengthening its position in Barcelona. After filling the Fira Gran Via venue at its latest edition, the audiovisual trade fair has announced that in 2026 it will also occupy Montjuïc, located in Plaza España. This move comes thanks to an alliance with the EdTech Congress, an event focused on educational technology that until now has been held separately.
The 2026 edition, scheduled for 3 to 6 February, will mark the start of this physical expansion. The organisers' aim is for the presence at Montjuïc to grow even further in 2027. In addition, next year ISE will launch a new area at Fira Gran Via dedicated to audiovisual production and streaming platforms such as Netflix, HBO and Prime Video. If this area, called Spark, is successful, it will move to Montjuïc in future editions.
The decision also responds to the need for space, as Fira de Barcelona's new hall in l’Hospitalet will not be ready until 2028. Two of the main exhibitors have already requested more floor space for 2027, forcing ISE to look for alternatives to meet growing demand.
EdTech Congress Barcelona, which brought together 50 exhibitors and 1,600 attendees at its latest edition, will be incorporated into ISE on the event's middle days, 4 and 5 February 2026. According to the organisers, the collaboration aims to introduce attendees to the latest technological trends and solutions for education, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence.
The management of Fira de Barcelona emphasises that this project reinforces the city's commitment to innovation and makes it a key meeting point for Europe's audiovisual and education sectors.
