080 Barcelona Fashion returns to the sea with 26 shows in four days
080 Barcelona Fashion already has a schedule for its autumn edition. From 20 to 23 October, the catwalk will return to Marina Vela-Port Vell with 25 designers and brands, joined by the fifth edition of 080 Reborn. In total, the programme includes 26 shows spread over four days by the Mediterranean.
It will be the second consecutive edition in this setting. Last spring, 080 left the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau to set up on the seafront for the first time and, after that experience, will repeat the location in October. The fashion shows will take place in a covered venue at Marina Vela, while the surrounding area will also have parallel activities and spaces accessible to the public.
The first show will arrive on Tuesday the 20th at 14:00 and also represents a change from other editions: 080 Reborn will open the programme this time. The initiative works exclusively with recovered and second-hand garments to demonstrate how reuse can become raw material for new collections. Surkana will then show at 16:00, Inma Linares at 17:30, SKFK at 19:00, and Custo Barcelona will close the day at 20:30.
Wednesday the 21st will begin with Guillermina Baeza at 11:00. Escorpion, O'Barret, 404 Studio, Nathalie Chandler and Antonio Acuario will follow before Dominnico closes at 20:30. The line-up thus combines highly recognisable runway labels with more recently introduced projects.
Thursday the 22nd will be the turn of Bibencia, Acceptance Letter, Benavente, Gau, Outsiders Division and Compte Spain. The day will end with one of the most prominent international names of this edition: Louis Gabriel Nouchi, a French designer regularly seen at Paris Fashion Week, who will present his proposal at 20:30.
The final day, Friday the 23rd, will bring together Crypta, L'Amar, Pat Equiluz, Sohuman and Boltad. Aleixandri Studio will show at 19:00 and David Catalan will be responsible for closing the edition at 20:30.
Among the names making their debut or reinforcing the renewal of the line-up is Antonio Acuario, a label created in 2024 by Chilean designer Antonio Contreras, as well as Boltad and Pat Equiluz. They are joined by projects already established at 080, such as 404 Studio, Acceptance Letter, Benavente, Compte Spain and Outsiders Division.
080 Reborn will carry special weight. This will be its fifth edition within the platform and Fermín + Gilles remain at the helm of creative direction. The garments come from second-hand circuits, social organisations, textile-management centres and vintage markets, before being reinterpreted into new looks. The project is supported by the Agència de Residus de Catalunya and Girbau Lab.
The initiative also stepped beyond the runway this same year. In May, the Museu d'Art Modern de Tarragona hosted a retrospective of the previous four years of 080 Reborn, with between 25 and 30 looks made from recovered garments.
Anyone wishing to attend 080 should bear an important difference in mind: the fashion shows do not operate as a free-admission spectacle, but primarily by invitation. The organisation also provides areas and activities open to the public, for which a pass can be obtained through the 080 website.
From Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 October, Marina Vela will once again swap boats for a runway for a few hours. The calendar is now closed; the next step will be to learn in more detail about the parallel activities and public access.
