Biblioteca Clarà reopens with a new look and a major celebration in Tres Torres

Biblioteca Clarà welcomes visitors again after months of building work. Access and climate control have been renovated. Residents and families celebrated the reopening with music and hot chocolate. The neighbourhood regains a key space.

The return of Biblioteca Clarà marks a before and after for those who live in Tres Torres. After months of closure, the emblematic cultural space reopens its doors completely renovated, giving the neighbourhood back an essential meeting point for families, students and reading enthusiasts.

The works, which began at the end of April 2025, have transformed both the exterior and interior of the building. Cracks and leaks in the façades have been repaired, strengthening protection against damp and improving waterproofing. In addition, climate control has taken a leap forward: the system now incorporates heat recovery units and outdoor-air filtration, promising more comfortable and healthier environments at any time of year.

The main entrance has also changed completely. The paving, lighting and furniture have been replaced, creating a more functional and welcoming entrance. Everything has been designed to make the experience of arriving at the library more pleasant and practical for regular users and those discovering it for the first time.

The reopening has not gone unnoticed. The Sarrià – Sant Gervasi district and Biblioteques de Barcelona have organised a celebration open to the whole neighbourhood. The afternoon featured a lively hot-chocolate gathering and a children’s musical show, where the youngest enjoyed stories and live songs. The presence of the district councillor and the library director underlined the importance of this space to local cultural life.

Biblioteca Clarà, located in the heart of Tres Torres, is much more than a place to read. Since its inauguration, it has served as an engine of cultural and social activity in the neighbourhood.
