David Guetta headlines an electronic-music weekend in Arganda
Arganda del Rey is preparing for one of the most intense weekends of Madrid’s musical summer. Ciudad del Rock hosts the tenth edition of A Summer Story 2026, a festival that will again bring together thousands of electronic music fans for long nights and major stages, with mobility shaped by mass journeys to the south-east of the region.
The headline name on the bill is David Guetta, who arrives as the main draw after being named the world’s best DJ in 2025. His performance will turn Saturday dawn into one of the festival’s most anticipated moments, especially for those seeking a large-format set with stadium sound.
The programme, however, goes far beyond the French DJ. A Summer Story will also bring together Third Party, Nifra, Ely Oaks, 999999999, Jamie Jones, Nicky Romero, Meduza, Mathame, Korolova, Trym, Sephax, Rikhter, Cera Khin, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli and Karretero, among other names from the international and national electronic music scene.
The festival will begin on Friday the 19th and run until Sunday morning, with concerts from 20:00 to 8:00. The organisers recommend arriving with time to spare, both to avoid queues at the entrances and to move calmly within a venue that will concentrate a large audience throughout the night.
One focus will be the Lenovo Stage during Saturday dawn. David Guetta will perform from 1:00 to 2:30, while DJ Nano will take over later with his Oro Viejo show, scheduled from 4:00 until closing at 8:00. It will be one of the weekend’s longest and most nostalgic sessions.
Mobility will be a key part of the plan. Those travelling by car from Madrid must use exit 33, although they are advised to anticipate tailbacks and organise their return well. By public transport, options include several bus lines and Metro Line 9, as well as special shuttle services from Arganda del Rey, Ventas and Conde de Casal.
The shuttles are presented as one of the most convenient alternatives for those wishing to avoid the car after a festival night. Return tickets start at 24 euros and are intended to absorb part of the movement of thousands of attendees between Madrid and the Ciudad del Rock.
Electronic music will once again change Arganda’s usual rhythm for two nights. The Ciudad del Rock is already one of the Community of Madrid’s major summer venues, but events such as A Summer Story show the extent to which festivals have shifted part of nightlife outside the centre: fewer small clubs, more open venues and an experience designed for dancing until dawn.
