The Community of Madrid launches aid of up to €12,000 for mothers under 30
Young pregnant women, new mothers or adoptive mothers can receive up to €500 per month for two years. Applications are open all year.
Women under 30 who live in the Community of Madrid can now apply for financial assistance of up to €12,000 for childbirth, pregnancy or adoption. The programme provides a monthly payment of €500 for a maximum of 24 months, with the aim of supporting young motherhood and encouraging population growth in the region. Those who meet any of the following conditions can benefit from this measure: being pregnant from week 21 onwards, having had a child in the last two years, or having adopted a minor since January 2022.
In addition, legal residence in Spain is required, as is having lived for at least five years in the Community of Madrid within the last ten. The individual income limit is €30,000 gross per year, and €36,200 in the case of family units. The application process can be completed online or in person and remains open all year, although it is subject to budget availability. If the administration does not respond within three months, the application is deemed rejected through administrative silence.
With this type of assistance, the regional government seeks to ease the financial burden of raising children in the early years and offer direct support to young families in Madrid.
