Colònia Güell’s Festa del Modernisme surprises with drones and a tribute to Gaudí
Colònia Güell is preparing for a weekend that will transform its usual rhythm with the arrival of the Festa del Modernisme. On 3 and 4 October, the area will fill with historical re-enactments, cultural activities and an unprecedented visual proposal inspired by Antoni Gaudí.
The event revisits one of the key moments in its history: the laying of the first stone of the Crypt, now recognised as Patrimonio Mundial. The recreation will allow locals and visitors to relive the origins of one of the most unique spaces of Catalan modernism.
On Sunday, the event will reach its most innovative point with a drone show that will reinterpret Gaudí's organic forms in the sky over Baix Llobregat. The proposal combines technology and heritage in an experience that broadens the way people engage with his legacy.
The programme is part of Any Gaudí, which places Colònia Güell as one of the main venues for the commemoration. Over the months, concerts, exhibitions and conferences have built up an agenda that connects past and present.
