Madrid Philharmonic celebrates its 25th anniversary with music, inspiration and grandeur
The Madrid Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir inaugurate a special new season with a programme of masterpieces of classical music and Broadway musicals.
The Orchestra and Choir of the Madrid Philharmonic, under the baton of maestro Pascual Osas, open a special season, as the ensemble celebrates its 25th anniversary. The commemorative programme will bring together masterpieces of classical music, zarzuela, cinema and Broadway musicals, reaffirming the Philharmonic's mission to bring symphonic music closer to everyone.
The season will begin on 16 October with Joseph Haydn's oratorio “The Creation of the World” and will run until June 2026, including concerts dedicated to Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Orff and Mahler. Each is a large-scale event in which the classical joins the contemporary and the stage becomes a space for living emotions.
The Philharmonic, founded in 2000 as Spain's first private professional orchestra, is known not only for its high standard of performance, but also for its educational work: open rehearsals, music courses and concerts in which the public takes part in the action.
