The Madrid Movida returns: figurative art takes over the Guillermo de Osma Gallery
The Guillermo de Osma Gallery revisits the artistic effervescence of the 1980s with two consecutive exhibitions devoted to the power of figuration at the height of Madrid's Movida, open until 10 April.
The Galería Guillermo de Osma, at Claudio Coello 4, is once again surprising Madrid audiences with a new exhibition focusing on the vibrant art scene of the 1980s. Following the success of its exhibitions on Pop and the Nueva Figuración Madrileña of the 1960s and 1970s, the gallery now presents 'Los 80. Figuración en los años de la Movida'.
The exhibition, on show until 10 April, focuses on figurative art during the cultural explosion Madrid experienced in the era of the Movida. It offers a journey through the most representative works of those years, when creativity and freedom marked a turning point in the Spanish art scene.
