Spring blooms at Madrid's Royal Botanical Garden with workshops for the whole family

The Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid becomes a genuine paradise of accessible activities for the whole family this spring. During May and June 2025, this iconic natural space is organising a special programme that invites visitors to discover the beauty of its living collections, learn about natural cosmetics and experience the art of watercolour surrounded by flowers. Among the most notable proposals are guided tours, where visitors can explore the history of the Garden, its greenhouses and the applications of its plants in sustainability. Visits will take place on 17, 24 and 31 May and 7 and 21 June, at two available times, for just 8 euros. Workshops also take centre stage: the public will be able to make their own natural cosmetic product on 19 May, 1 and 8 June, delve into the world of aromas on 19 May, or learn floral preservation techniques on 3, 11 and 18 May. For those wishing to capture the essence of the garden on paper, artist Jorge Bayo will give watercolour workshops on 5 and 19 May, and 17 and 24 June, in small groups and at a price of 30 euros. Younger children are not left out of this spring experience. The Garden offers workshops designed for them, such as Follow the trail! What is a flower? for children aged 3 to 6 (25 May and 15 June), and Spring spies for those over 7 (4, 14, 15 and 25 May, and 15 June), both for 8 euros.
