This year, those strolling through Quinta de los Molinos have one more reason to stop: the park is celebrating its centenary with a free exhibition that invites visitors to discover how former agricultural land became one of Madrid's most beloved green lungs. The exhibition, installed in Casa del Reloj, offers a journey through the evolution of this space, from César Cort Botí's first purchases in 1926 to its establishment as a public park.

The tour begins with a selection of historical and current photographs, original plans and documents that help explain the transformation of the site. Explanatory panels and graphic materials place the Quinta in the context of the city and allow visitors to appreciate its architectural and plant richness. The exhibition is organised into three thematic modules that explore the key moments and the people who have shaped the park's destiny, from its creator to the local residents who enjoy it every day.

Among the most striking objects are original sketches by César Cort Botí, made by hand in the 1930s, and personal items that show his urban-planning vision. The itinerary also highlights the relationship between nature and the city, underlining how the Quinta has been an example of ecological integration in the urban environment. The visit concludes with a video that summarises the park's historical, landscape and heritage value.

The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, until 17 May. Admission is free and the proposal is particularly appealing to those looking for outdoor cultural plans or wishing to learn more about the history of their neighbourhood.

Quinta de los Molinos was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 2025, which has driven its restoration and the recovery of historic paths.
