Sagrada Família opens its doors for La Mercè with 20,000 free tickets
The Sagrada Família is joining La Mercè celebrations with its traditional Open Days, offering the chance to visit one of the world’s most emblematic churches free of charge.
A total of 20,000 tickets will be drawn to access the interior of the basilica between 19 and 24 September.
For four days, visitors will be able to explore its most iconic spaces and discover new features, such as a spectacular three-metre relief depicting the wedding at Cana, a piece that will form part of the future Chapel of the Assumption alongside scenes such as the Presentation of Mary, the Death of Saint Joseph and the Dormition.
Registration to take part in the draw will be open from 8 to 14 September through the form available on the official Sagrada Família website (sagradafamilia.org) and its social media channels. Winners will receive confirmation on 15 September.
Visiting hours will be from 16:00 to 20:00, except on Saturday the 20th, when access will be reduced to 15:00 to 18:00. A unique opportunity to enjoy free of charge the progress of Gaudí’s works and experience Barcelona’s main festival from the heart of its most universal architecture.
