The Sierra Norte of Madrid launches an initiative to discover local products at weekends
The Sierra Norte of Madrid springs into action this spring with an initiative linking tourism, gastronomy and local crafts over three consecutive weekends.

Twelve tourism establishments and seven producers are working together to bring their products closer to those visiting the area, with offerings in municipalities such as Patones, La Hiruela and Rascafría. Restaurants, rural houses and active-tourism businesses will offer food, cosmetics and craft pieces made in the region.
The initiative, promoted by Centro de Innovación Turística de la Sierra Norte de Madrid, will take place on the weekends of 27 March and 3 and 10 April. As well as discovering local products, visitors will be able to take part in surveys using QR codes to evaluate the experience.
The proposal seeks to boost the rural economy and offer different plans close to Madrid, backing tourism that is more sustainable and connected to the territory. A way to rediscover Sierra Norte through its flavours, trades and landscapes.
