New Year's Eve Chimes 2025: all the channels, presenters and surprises of the night

The night of the New Year’s chimes has become a true television and family phenomenon in Spain. The main channels compete to capture the attention of millions of viewers, relying on charismatic presenters, innovative formats and special performances to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026.

In the previous edition, David Broncano and Lalachus took the lead on TVE, achieving a 31.2% audience share and an average of 4.8 million viewers on La 1. On La 2, the simulcast added a 5.1% share and 783,000 followers. Antena 3, with Cristina Pedroche and Alberto Chicote, came second with a 28.1% share and 4,345,000 viewers. Telecinco, with Ion Aramendi and Blanca Romero, completed the podium with a 4.8% share.

For the night of 2025, only the pairing of Chicote and Pedroche returns, now marking nine consecutive years. Atresmedia has decided to innovate and will broadcast the New Year’s chimes simultaneously on both Antena 3 and laSexta, with the special collaboration of Santiago Segura in a featured announcement.

Mediaset España is choosing Sandra Barneda and Xuso Jones this year, who will broadcast from Formigal for Telecinco and Cuatro, accompanied by a performance from Nacho Cano, who will perform his well-known song “Un año más”.

On TVE, the last-minute withdrawal of Andreu Buenafuente and Silvia Abril for health reasons forced a quick search for replacements. Finally, the trio made up of Estopa and Chenoa will be responsible for welcoming the year from the emblematic balcony of Puerta del Sol in Madrid. In addition, TVE will have Nia Correia and St. Pedro for the broadcast in the Canary Islands.

The regional television stations are also preparing their own celebrations. In Catalonia, Laura Escanes and Miki Núñez return to TV3 after the success of previous years. Telemadrid will feature Mónica Martínez, Poty Castillo and Irene. In the Basque Country, EITB is choosing Ilaski Serrano and Xabier Usabiaga on ETB1, and África Baeta and Sara Gándara on ETB2. Canal Sur has chosen Toñi Moreno, Enrique Romero and Ana Hinestrosa.

À Punt will broadcast from Utiel with María Fuster and Ferran Cano. Televisión Canaria will be in El Hierro with Eloísa González, Elvis Sanfiel and Mayer Trujillo. TVG in Galicia has opted for Eva Iglesias, Arturo Fernández, Aitana del Mar and Eddy Insua. Aragón TV will feature Blanca Liso and the stars of “El campo es nuestro”.

In Castilla-La Mancha, Mariló Leal, Carlos Macías and Lucía Escribano will be the presenters. Extremadura is choosing content creators Sandra Majada, Raúl Otero and Blanca García. IB3 in the Balearic Islands will have David Ordinas and Magdalena Serra. In Asturias, Ana Francisco and Santi Alverú return on RTPA. Murcia is relying on Óscar Martínez and Kika Frutos on 7TV. La Rioja will be represented by Laura Santaolaya and Carlos Pérez on La 7. Cantabria Televisión will feature footballer Athenea del Castillo and Adrián Fernández from Santillana del Mar.
