Madrid Metro installs smart lockers for collecting parcels without leaving the station
Madrid is changing the way parcels are collected with the arrival of smart lockers on the Metro. From now on, Line 3 users can receive orders and collect them directly at the station, with no need for additional travel.
The system, rolled out across 19 stations, can handle more than 3,000 parcels a day. It works with a código QR and is available every day, making it easy to fit into any routine.
The lockers are managed by different delivery companies and can accommodate various parcel sizes. Packages are distributed via the metro network itself, integrating logistics into urban transport.
The aim is to make daily life simpler. Avoiding waiting at home or making extra trips turns this service into a practical solution for frequent online shoppers.
