Lego launches its own version of Pixar's iconic lamp
The most famous lamp in animated cinema now has its brick version: Lego has unveiled a charming set inspired by Luxo Jr., the glowing star of Pixar's legendary short film that has jumped on the studio's logo since 1986.
The new collector’s set, made up of 613 pieces, allows you to build an articulated 29 x 14 x 11 cm figure that imitates the movements and turns of the original character. True to Pixar’s spirit, the lamp is not merely decorative: it is dynamic, fun and, like the short film, full of soul. It is intended for adults, however: the set carries a recommended age label of 18+.
As an additional tribute, the set includes an “Easter egg” ball with hidden references to Disney Pixar classics such as Ratatouille, Up, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. The ball can also become the lamp’s base, replicating the iconic scene from the Luxo Jr. short film.
A nostalgic, collectible nod that brings together Pixar’s magic and Lego’s creative precision. Because sometimes, icons also come in small pieces.
