El Circo de los Horrores PrisionIA arrives, the horror show already seen by more than five million people

El Circo de los Horrores has revolutionised the traditional concept of the circus. It now blends fear, technology and artificial intelligence. And it returns to Barcelona with its new show PrisionIA, which will be presented at the Port Vell venue from 10 to 26 April, where the circus’s iconic tent will be set up. Created in 2006 by Suso Silva, this project has changed the concept we all have of the circus by combining theatre, cabaret, somewhat cheeky humour and a dark aesthetic that breaks with convention. Last year, in Spain, El Circo de los Horrores again stood out with its tour and productions such as Réquiem, reaffirming its success and its ability to continuously reinvent itself with each new production.

PrisionIA offers an immersive experience of around two hours, with an interval, fusing extreme acrobatics and visual effects, alongside a futuristic narrative dominated by artificial intelligence. The plot takes place in a prison governed by this AI, in which the protagonist, Azul, has no memories and, through the language of extreme circus, speaks about current reality.

Tickets, in this 2026 season, start at approximately 32 euros, although they may vary depending on the area and the chosen experience, which may even include VIP benefits such as drinks or priority access, better seats and exclusive services. This variety of options allows each spectator to choose the type of experience they wish to have.

In addition, this year’s tour also includes other cities such as Zaragoza, Gijón and Valencia, consolidating its journey through Spain with an impactful production that promises to surprise audiences at every performance. This reinforces the show’s success and its ability to attract diverse audiences throughout the country.
