Barcelona and Badalona cemeteries extend their opening hours for All Saints' Day

With the arrival of All Saints’ Day, the cemeteries of Barcelona and Badalona are preparing to receive thousands of visitors, adapting their opening hours and services to make access and visits easier during these especially significant days. From Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November, cemetery opening hours will be extended from 08:00 to 18:00, thus ensuring a suitable space for remembrance and tribute.

To improve the experience and avoid crowds, the public transport service has been reinforced. In Badalona, buses on route B3 will increase their frequency, facilitating direct access to Cementerio de Sant Pere from various neighbourhoods in the city. In addition, special services connecting key points with the cemeteries will be provided, operating every 15 to 20 minutes.

Barcelona is not lagging behind in its preparations; the city’s cemeteries are also extending their opening hours and offering a special bus service on the busiest days, ensuring a direct connection from key points such as Plaça d’Espanya to Montjuïc cemetery. In addition, the number of vehicles on the usual routes to the Collserola and Montjuïc cemeteries will be increased, making access to these peaceful spaces easier.

In addition to adjustments to transport and opening hours, both municipalities recommend planning visits in advance and making use of available resources such as maps and deceased-person locators on cemetery websites, to ensure a calm and respectful visit. In this way, Barcelona and Badalona ensure that the tradition of honouring those who are no longer with us remains alive, adapting to current needs and ensuring the greatest respect and comfort for all visitors.
