After a year of disputes, his children and Estefanía Knuth, the businessman’s partner for the last five years of his life, have reached an agreement in principle to end the conflict.
According to sources close to the process, Andic’s children have decided to increase the amount allocated to Knuth to 27 million euros, a figure 22 million higher than the sum initially provided for in the will. The agreement follows Knuth’s claim for 70 million euros after Andic’s death, compared with the 5 million the businessman had left her in his last wishes.
Isak Andic died at the age of 71, leaving an estimated fortune of 4.5 billion euros according to Forbes. The financial agreement between the heirs and Knuth ends months of negotiations and family tensions, marking the close of one of Catalonia’s most high-profile inheritance disputes in recent times.
