The best cultural plans to enjoy Madrid during August
Staying in Madrid this August does not mean giving up leisure. The city maintains an intense cultural programme with immersive exhibitions, open-air cinema, theatre, museums and food offerings that make summer a good opportunity to rediscover the capital.
One of the month's major highlights is The Odyssey, which arrives in two forms. Homer's epic inspires the new large-scale immersive exhibition at MAD Artes Digitales in Matadero Madrid, while the Prado Museum offers a special tour to discover how the myth of Ulysses has influenced some of the most important works in its collection.
