Madrid opens its doors to the Disney universe with an exhibition unprecedented in Spain
The capital is preparing for a unique journey: Disney: The Exhibition – 100 Years of Magic arrives at Fundación Canal with more than 250 historic pieces, drawings, costumes and filming objects that review a century of limitless creativity.
The exhibition, which has passed through cities such as Chicago, Munich and Paris, turns Madrid into the new epicentre of cultural astrotourism: nine immersive galleries and 14 interactive installations that allow visitors to relive iconic scenes, from Snow White (1937) to Encanto (2021), through the worlds of Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars.
Among the treasures on display are Mary Poppins’s horse, Cinderella’s glass slipper, Iron Man’s helmet and Indiana Jones’s iconic outfit. Everything is accompanied by storytellers who reveal secrets, photographic spaces for posing alongside Mickey or The Incredibles, and activities designed to awaken the imagination of young and old alike.
Tickets, from €14.90, are already on sale at disney100exhibit.com. The exhibition will open its doors in Madrid as a continuation of its world tour from next 1 October. An occasion that promises to turn Madrid into a true kingdom of fantasy, where every piece on display tells the story of how Disney reinvented the art of dreaming.
