Madrid expands cultural benefit for young people up to age 30
JOBO free tickets for theatre, cinema and concerts are now available to people up to 30.
The Ayuntamiento de Madrid has raised the age limit for participants in the JOBO programme from 26 to 30 years old. Now, young people can attend theatre, cinema, concerts, and other cultural events for free.
JOBO has been running since 2017 and covers seven municipal venues, including Teatro Español and Fernán Gómez y Cineteca. Up to 25% of tickets for each event are reserved specifically for participants, and reservations are available ten days before the session. Each show is accompanied by an exclusive preshow that immerses the audience in a creative atmosphere.
According to the Culture delegate, Marta Rivera de la Cruz, expanding the programme will help more young people take part in the city's cultural life.
