Madrid consolidates its status as a technology hub in a meeting with French companies
Madrid is consolidating its status as a technology leader in Europe, showing its French partners new approaches to digitalisation and 'smart' public services.
Madrid has confirmed its position as one of Europe's leading technology centres in a meeting with representatives from the French association ADCET, which brings together public and private organisations to promote the digitalisation of administrations.
During the meeting, held at the Consejo de Digitalización, the parties discussed best practices in modernising public services, shared experiences, and analysed the implementation of technologies to improve administrative efficiency. Miguel López-Valverde emphasised that digitalisation should benefit citizens: speeding up, simplifying, and making public services more accessible.
Special attention was given to responsible digitalisation: data protection, information security, and the integration of artificial intelligence, while respecting ethical principles and transparency. Madrid's experience in digital transformation demonstrates how new technologies can be combined with citizens' trust and the responsible use of public data.
