Madrid lights up: Luz Madrid 2026 brings art and light in March
Luz Madrid returns from 12 to 14 March with 15 light installations.
Madrid is preparing to host the third edition of Luz Madrid, the International Light Festival, which will fill the city with art and creativity from 12 to 14 March 2026. For three nights, the capital’s streets and emblematic spaces will be transformed into settings of light and colour.
This time, the festival will feature 15 installations created by artists from different countries, reinforcing the international character that has distinguished it since its creation in 2021. Luz Madrid was born to celebrate the Landscape of Light, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The previous edition was held in 2023 and now, in 2026, the event promises once again to surprise Madrid residents and visitors with unique light-based proposals. The event is becoming one of the city’s major cultural attractions in spring.
