Madrid turns green with the return of the low-cost mega plant market

Madrid is preparing once again to welcome the Gran Venta de Plantas, an event that turns the city into a true nursery. From 16 to 18 January 2026, Espacio 23, in the Salamanca neighbourhood, will host thousands of plants from just €0.99, with more than 150 varieties available for every taste and need.

The initiative, organised by the French firm Plantes Pour Tous, aims to make botany accessible to everyone. Visitors will find everything from easy-care plants to large specimens, pet-friendly options and shade species. There will also be a special corner with pots, planters and potting soil made in France.

The event stands out for its affordable prices: more than half the plants cost less than €10. It will take place at 23 Calle del General Oráa, with visiting hours arranged to make attendance easier: Friday from 12:00 to 20:00, Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00.

Tickets are free, but advance booking is required to control capacity and prevent stock being wasted. Interested visitors can choose from different time slots to secure access to the capital’s most eagerly anticipated plant sale of the year.
