Six days of jazz transform Madrid’s cultural agenda
Madrid fills with jazz and turns the end of April into a musical route through the city. For six days, the INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY 2026 series brings together 18 concerts in seven emblematic venues, with offerings ranging from classical formats to the most contemporary fusion.
The programme begins on 28 April with concerts in venues such as Babylon Club Madrid and Intruso Bar, and throughout the week presents an offering that invites people to move between neighbourhoods and discover spaces with their own identity. On 30 April, International Jazz Day, some of the most eagerly anticipated moments are concentrated, with performances at Café Berlín, Café El Despertar and Rincón del Arte Nuevo.
The series combines international artists with names from the local scene, creating a journey that mixes tradition and new trends. From classic trios to electric offerings or projects that bring jazz together with other genres, each concert offers a different experience.
The weekend broadens the offering even further. Spaces such as Café Central (Ateneo de Madrid) and El Sótano Madrid join a programme that connects music and the city, with concerts spread across different points in the centre.
The initiative, promoted by Madrid en Vivo, reinforces the role of venues as a cultural engine and highlights live music at a time when audiences are looking for closer experiences.
During these days, Madrid changes rhythm. Jazz becomes the common thread of its nightlife and cultural life, with a proposal inviting people to travel through the city from venue to venue and discover a scene that continues to grow.
