Running, tennis and culture: how Madrid changes over the weekend
Madrid picks up the pace this weekend with a schedule that blends sport, culture and leisure. Events like the Mutua Madrid Open and the Zurich Rock 'n' Roll Running Series Madrid fill the city with activity and even affect mobility in the centre.
Tennis takes centre stage at Caja Mágica, while thousands of runners make their way along the Castellana on a day that turns the streets into a great sporting celebration. The atmosphere is noticeable from the early hours, both for participants and for those who come out to cheer them on.
