Majadahonda to hold citizenship oath ceremony on 6 June
Residents of Majadahonda will be able to swear allegiance to the flag on 6 June and publicly reaffirm their civic commitment.
Majadahonda residents will be able to publicly reaffirm their commitment to Spain in the Jura de Bandera ceremony, which will be held on 6 June in Plaza de Colón. Participants will be able to take an oath or make a pledge before the national flag, a symbol of civic responsibility and respect for the Constitution.
The event is intended for 500 people and is organised with the support of the armed forces and municipal authorities. To take part, it is necessary to be a Spanish citizen, be 18 years old and register in advance, while spectators may attend the ceremony freely.
The initiative continues last year’s event: in 2022, the first citizen’s oath ceremony in Majadahonda brought together around one hundred participants. Today, the event aims to strengthen the link between society and defence institutions, as well as create an atmosphere of unity and civic solidarity.
