Malasaña comes alive with a cultural programme that transforms the neighbourhood for ten days. The Malasaña a Escena festival returns with new offerings that fill the streets and cultural spaces with theatre, music and workshops.
From 16 to 26 April, the programme is spread across different spots in the neighbourhood. Microtheatre performances, staged readings, and concerts turn every corner into a small stage accessible to the public.
The line-up combines well-known plays with independent projects. Titles like Macbeth or Mary Poppins appear alongside more experimental offerings, broadening the festival’s reach and attracting different audiences.
