Móstoles: 1st Employment Meeting on 26 June with 41 vacancies in hospitality, cleaning and trades

The pulse of employment in Móstoles was felt this week with the first Encuentro de Empleo de Servicios y Oficios, an event that brought together local businesses and dozens of residents seeking new opportunities. The initiative, promoted by the City Council through Móstoles Desarrollo, has put forward 41 vacancies in sectors such as cleaning, concierge services and VTC driving, all in high demand in the city.

During the day, 50 candidates had the opportunity to interview face to face with human-resources managers from companies such as Grupo Rojas, Crespo, Vecttor and Ocean. The selection process began days earlier, with the offers published on the municipal employment board and information sessions for 90 applicants, where municipal technicians helped refine CVs and prepare for interviews.

The mayor, Manuel Bautista, stressed that the aim is to bring real employment closer to residents and consolidate a strategy that strengthens the local economy and employability. According to the mayor, the commitment to connecting companies and citizens is already translating into a fall in unemployment in the municipality.

Representatives from the Economy, Industry and Employment area also attended the event, as did recruitment managers from the participating companies, strengthening public-private collaboration in the search for local talent.

Móstoles Desarrollo has consolidated itself in recent years as a reference point for those looking for work in the south of Madrid. Its employment board and sectoral meetings allow residents to access agile, personalised selection processes, while companies find profiles suited to their needs. Madrid is already starting to move in that direction, backing formulas that bring employment closer to the everyday life of neighbourhoods.
