Christmas Eve in the Comunidad de Madrid passed with fewer incidents than the previous year, according to Emergencias 112 data. The service recorded 1,747 calls, representing a 5% decrease compared with 2024, when 1,846 alerts were recorded. Activity between midnight and 9 in the morning remained stable compared with last year.
However, traffic accidents increased notably, with 68% more calls: from 22 in 2024 to 37 this year. In contrast, assaults fell by 15%, fires dropped by 57% and alcohol intoxications were reduced by 24%.
Policía Municipal de Madrid managed 2,070 incidents during the night, while Samur-Protección Civil carried out 373 interventions. Bomberos del Ayuntamiento de Madrid took part in 83 operations, including 10 involving burning containers, 16 lift rescues and 8 interventions for fires in homes.
In addition, Policía Municipal carried out 43 inspections of premises, detecting 30 infringements. It also received 276 complaints about noise in homes and 28 in premises, and carried out 196 operations for alcohol consumption on public roads.
