Nou Barris fills with magic with two major shows to welcome the Three Kings

Nou Barris is preparing to welcome the Three Kings with two large-format Christmas shows with free admission. Between 28 and 30 December, Casa de l’Aigua de Trinitat Nova will host “L’hora màgica del Rei Baltasar”, a participatory experience for families with workshops, music and rituals inspired by African tradition. After New Year, on 2, 3 and 4 January, the courtyard of the district headquarters will become the “Campament Reial a l’Oasi de Nou Barris”, where visitors can walk around the camp and meet the characters who accompany the Three Kings.

The district is committed to decentralising its Christmas programme, bringing activities to Nou Barris's 13 neighbourhoods. Many of these proposals arise from collaboration with neighbourhood associations and local organisations, which have been key to organising and energising the festive agenda.

Christmas lighting is also being reinforced this year in less commercial areas, with new points of light in Vallbona and on streets such as Llerona, Martorelles and Balenyà. In addition, illuminated totems have been installed at strategic locations such as Torre Baró–Vallbona railway station and the Ciutat Meridiana metro exit, thanks to the support of the Pla de Barris.

“L’hora màgica del Rei Baltasar” will be open from 17:00 to 19:30 and will allow attendees to enjoy fire installations, creative workshops and dance and music shows. The activity, organised by the district and the Comisión de Fiestas de Trinitat Nova, seeks to foster interculturality and neighbourhood participation through art.

The “Campament Reial a l’Oasi de Nou Barris”, in its sixth edition, will open from 17:00 to 21:00 without the need for prior registration. Visitors will be able to meet the astrologers, royal gymnasts, postmen, fairies and other characters who are part of the parade. The organisers have the cooperation of parents' associations, senior centres and neighbourhood organisations, consolidating Nou Barris as an epicentre of Barcelona's Christmas.
