Otro Puto Mercadillo returns this Saturday with over 40 creators and free entry

The market will be open from 16:00 to 21:00 at number 10 Aniceto Marinas Street. During those five hours, the stalls will bring together illustration, screen printing, embroidery, ceramics, costume jewellery, fanzines, second-hand clothing, prints and upcycling fashion projects.

The formula moves away from a conventional market based solely on buying used clothes. A large proportion of the stalls belong to small creators who sell their own pieces directly, so it is possible to find everything from jewellery and handmade objects to graphic editions that do not usually appear in traditional shops.

Saturday's edition will be the 73rd of Otro Puto Mercadillo. The project usually holds its gatherings at Próxima Estación and has further dates scheduled for 10 October, 7 November and 12 December, meaning that the September event opens a new round of markets for this autumn.

In addition to the stalls, there will be a drinks bar and prize draws during the afternoon. The organisers usually round out the market with parallel offerings, although the principal draw remains the concentration of dozens of independent projects in the same space.

Admission costs nothing, but free invitations are managed online in advance. The organisers themselves have already opened booking for 12 September, a recommended precaution because the venue has limited capacity.

Próxima Estación is on Aniceto Marinas Street, opposite the Manzanares and a few minutes' walk from Príncipe Pío station. It can be reached by Metro lines 6 and 10 and by Cercanías, making it possible to attend without travelling by car.

The next edition starts this Saturday at 16:00 and ends at 21:00. For anyone seeking second-hand items, illustration or small-scale pieces, the difference is that more than 40 creators will be gathered for a single afternoon with free access.
