Pasea Madrid 2026: registration open from 18 March for more than 350 free visits

Madrid’s spring cultural calendar gains an eagerly awaited classic: Pasea Madrid is once again opening registration for its free guided tours, an opportunity to rediscover the city on foot and with a curious eye. The programme, which sells out every year within a few hours, offers more than 350 routes between April and June, designed for people who want to get to know the capital’s cultural and natural heritage better.

This year, Pasea Madrid proposes five themed itineraries ranging from the gardens of Buen Retiro to the Capricho Bunker, via landmark spaces such as the Beti Jai Frontón and the Alfonso XII Monument. In all, almost 10,000 places for Madrid residents and visitors, with adapted timetables and sessions reserved for those over 65.

Registration opens on 18 March: at 10 in the morning for those over 65 and from 12 for the remaining participants. Bookings are handled exclusively online, through Pasea Madrid’s official link. The experience is usually in high demand, so it is worth watching the clock if you want to secure a place.

The routes are distributed as follows: the Landscape of Light–Buen Retiro gardens is visited on Monday afternoons and, in June, also on Wednesdays; the Landscape of Light–Prado promenade on Tuesdays and Thursdays; the Beti Jai Frontón opens from Tuesday to Sunday at different times; the Alfonso XII Monument is visited on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with new slots in June; and the Capricho Bunker reserves its tours for weekends and public holidays. On each route, some sessions are specially designed for older people, reinforcing the initiative’s inclusive character.

Pasea Madrid has established itself as one of the most highly valued offerings for those seeking different plans without leaving the city. Beyond the individual visit, the programme invites people to look at Madrid differently and discover stories and spaces that often go unnoticed in daily routine. The city once again adjusts its rhythm and opens the door to new ways of enjoying it.

The Pasea Madrid programme was created with the aim of bringing Madrid’s heritage closer to all audiences, combining historic routes, green spaces and little-known sites.
