Pozuelo festivities will fill September with concerts and activities
Pozuelo de Alarcón will celebrate its Nuestra Señora de la Consolación patron-saint festivities from 5 to 13 September with a programme combining concerts, family activities, popular gatherings and traditional events. Music will again shape much of the days that will change the municipality's rhythm for more than a week.
The line-up brings together Vanesa Martín, Pignoise, Despistaos, Marlena, Marlon, Depol and Nena Daconte, as well as local bands, DJ sets and tribute concerts. Most performances will take place in the marquee set up at the temporary fairground site, although Plaza del Padre Vallet will also host several free-entry events.
The programme will begin on Saturday the 5th with DJ Pulpo and Pignoise at the fairground, while Depol will perform in the town centre on the same day. Vanesa Martín will arrive on Monday the 7th, Despistaos and Marlena will share the bill on Thursday the 10th, and Marlon will perform on Friday the 11th.
Saturday the 12th will concentrate another important part of the programme with Black Out Festival and 84 in the marquee. Nena Daconte will perform in Plaza del Padre Vallet, where admission will be free until capacity is reached.
Concerts in the marquee will have a general price of two euros per day, except for Vanesa Martín’s performance, whose ticket will cost 15 euros. The Town Council has also made available a ten-euro wristband so that registered local residents can access all performances and DJ sets at the venue.
Preferential sales for registered local residents will remain open until 24 August, with a maximum of four tickets per person. From 25 August, sales will begin for the general public for any tickets that remain available.
The agenda will be completed with children’s and cultural activities, peña gatherings, bullfighting events and religious acts. The variety will make it possible to combine concert nights with daytime plans designed for families and local residents of different ages.
The scene will leave the fairground and the centre of Pozuelo connected by music, the movement of the peñas and streets full until late. For nine days, September will begin in the western area with a programme that mixes big names and local celebration.
