The MACBA and Torre Glòries project images against antisocial behaviour in Barcelona
Barcelona is launching a visual campaign that directly affects those travelling through the centre. The MACBA and Torre Glòries are projecting images against antisocial behaviour for three nights, an intervention intended to change everyday behaviour in public spaces.
The projections can be seen until Saturday 11 April. At MACBA they will be active from 20:30 to 23:30, while at Torre Glòries they will continue until midnight. The messages point to common behaviours such as littering the street or consuming alcohol outside the rules.
The action forms part of the closing stage of the Poca Vergonya campaign, promoted by the City Council. The strategy seeks to occupy highly visible spaces in order to generate an immediate reaction and bring the message to thousands of people without the need for intermediaries.
Over recent weeks, the campaign has stressed how small gestures affect daily coexistence. The intensive use of images seeks to make that impact more evident and prompt a more direct response than other, more traditional formats.
