What sporting events are held at Barcelona's Olympic Stadium?
Barcelona's Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys hosts FC Barcelona matches during the Camp Nou works, as well as major athletics competitions and international events such as the Diamond League.
Since July 2023, the legendary Montjuïc Olympic Stadium has temporarily become Barça's home. Here it plays its home matches while the redevelopment of Spotify Camp Nou progresses, a move that has restored the stadium's sporting prominence on a large scale.
But the venue does not come alive only with football. Its stands also host top-level athletics events, such as international meetings and national championships. One of the most notable is the Diamond League meeting, the elite global athletics circuit, which chose this stadium as the venue for its Barcelona edition. In addition, the stadium hosts multidisciplinary sports shows, mass-participation races and rugby matches.
