Barcelona brings together vintage clothing from €1 in Poblenou this weekend
This weekend brings together three second-hand events a short distance apart between Poblenou and Port Olímpic. The cheapest will offer garments from €1, but it is worth distinguishing the conditions: not all three markets sell all their clothes at that price, and one requires an admission fee.
The route begins on Friday 4 September at Akilo Vintage Store, at Pere IV, 117. Two Market is holding a clearance sale of vintage and second-hand clothing there from 11:00 to 19:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free; items cost 3 euros on Friday and Saturday and fall to 2 euros on Sunday.
The cheapest option appears on Sunday the 6th. L'Ovella Negra | Marina, at Zamora, 78, hosts another Two Market market from 10:00 to 17:00 with vintage and second-hand clothing for one and two euros and a maximum price of two euros per item. In this case, general admission costs 3 euros at the door.
There is also a 2-for-1 admission promotion available through the organiser. The market occupies the large L'Ovella Negra venue and brings together dozens of sellers, so it works differently from the Akilo clearance sale: the garments come from different private individuals and exhibitors.
The third stop is by the sea. Port Flea returns on Sunday the 6th to Moll de Gregal del Port Olímpic from 11:00 to 20:00, with free admission and around 100 stalls. There is no single one-, two- or three-euro rate here: each seller sets their own prices and the offer combines vintage and second-hand clothing with accessories, records, reused objects, design and crafts.
Port Flea also includes DJs, food and a bar throughout the day. The September edition is once again being held in the shaded area of Moll de Gregal, a location the organiser introduced during the summer to better protect stalls and visitors from the sun.
Anyone looking exclusively for the lowest prices has another detail that may make it worth waiting a week. Akilo will repeat its clearance sale on 11, 12 and 13 September: garments will cost two euros on Friday and Saturday and fall to one euro on Sunday the 13th, always from 11:00 to 19:00 and with free admission.
This weekend, therefore, the cheapest combination is concentrated on Sunday: L'Ovella Negra opens at 10:00 with one- and two-euro items, Akilo keeps its entire selection at two euros from 11:00, and Port Flea adds a hundred stalls with freely set prices beside Port Olímpic at the same time.
