Sabadell boosts security with new cameras at key stations and access points

Sabadell City Council has announced the installation of eight new CCTV cameras at points considered strategic for improving public safety. The new devices will be installed around the RENFE Centre, RENFE Sud and FGC Parc del Nord stations, areas that see a high volume of users every day.

The measure also includes installing cameras at the main entry and exit routes into the city, especially in the Castellarnau area, a place of constant traffic for both vehicles and pedestrians. The council stresses that this reinforcement seeks to increase the sense of security at one of Sabadell’s busiest gateways.

In addition, the City Council plans to expand the CCTV network in other urban areas. Spaces being redeveloped, such as Ronda Collsalarca and Eix Macià, will receive additional cameras as part of planned improvement works. The council had already indicated, when approving the 2026 municipal budget, that part of the investment would be allocated to expanding the city’s CCTV system.

With these measures, Sabadell continues to strengthen its strategy to improve safety and monitoring at places with high footfall or traffic.
