The renovated Manolito Gafotas park opens in Carabanchel

The renovated Manolito Gafotas linear park has opened in the Carabanchel neighbourhood of Madrid. The works were completed ahead of schedule and the space between the residential neighbourhoods and the M-40 motorway is now noticeably quieter and greener.

During the renovation, more than one thousand trees and tens of thousands of shrubs were planted, which buffer the noise and obscure the view of the motorway. The park has been equipped with comfortable pedestrian routes, public lighting, children's play areas, sports areas, rest areas and a skating rink.
