Madrid's first ‘Museum of Intimacy’ will open
An interactive space will open in Madrid where couples will be able to switch off their phones and find out how close they really are.
From 12 to 15 February, in the centre of Madrid, Intimario will temporarily open, an interactive space where couples can switch off their phones and reconnect with one another. The exhibition combines light and sensory installations, interactive tasks and questions for reflection, with the aim of strengthening emotional closeness.
Visitors will be accompanied by a family therapist who will show them how the habit of being constantly connected affects relationships. Guests will be confronted with questions such as “What would your sheets say about your intimacy?” and will discover how digital habits interfere with genuine closeness.
The idea behind the museum is simple: when the smartphone reaches the bed, the first thing that often gets “disconnected” is contact with one's partner. Intimario helps people pause, look at each other and recover that shared space, essential to any relationship.
