Teatralia transforms the cultural calendar with its most visual and family-oriented edition

Teatralia, the international performing arts festival for all audiences, opens its 30th edition with ‘Verne’ at Teatros del Canal. The production, aimed at boys and girls aged 7 and over, combines projections, object theatre, dance and optical games in a staging that relies on visual power and imagination.
The company Onírica Mecánica presents this show, inspired by the French author’s most emblematic novels and directed by Jesús Nieto. The organisers explain that the piece seeks to pay tribute to creativity and offer hopeful stories in response to pessimism. After its premiere at Teatros del Canal, ‘Verne’ will arrive on Sunday 8 March at Teatro Auditorio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, with the Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid taking part in both performances.
