Madrid is getting ready to bid farewell to 2025 with one of its most popular traditions: the pre-grapes in Puerta del Sol. On 30 December, 15,000 people will be able to celebrate an early New Year’s Eve in the heart of the city, with free entry and live music.

The party will begin with the closure of the square at 21:00 for safety reasons. From 22:00, the entrances will open so attendees can go in and enjoy the festive atmosphere. From 22:45, several DJs will liven up the night with electronic music until minutes before midnight.

The key moment will come at 23:59, when everyone present will eat the traditional 12 grapes in time with the chimes of the iconic Sol clock. This year, the celebration will be officially broadcast on RTVE, presented by Inés Hernand, Aitor Albizua and Miguel Maldonado from 23:30 on La 2 and RTVE Play.

The pre-grapes have become the perfect dress rehearsal for those who want to experience the excitement of New Year’s Eve before anyone else. Do not forget your party favours, grapes and champagne to toast 2026 on one of Madrid’s most special nights.
