Three irresistible plans revolutionising the city this weekend

With the arrival of the longer evenings, Madrid is buzzing with fresh and addictive offerings: a New York-style bar in Ponzano, a vinyl hi-fi bar in Recoletos and a reinvented cheesecake in Salamanca.

On Calle Ponzano, Nolita has become the liveliest spot in the neighbourhood. Inspired by New York's relaxed atmosphere, it offers sharing dishes such as Russian salad, gildas, cannelloni and a must-have burger. Average price €45–50, with wines and bites perfect for extending the conversation.

In Recoletos, Fenómeno has just opened as Madrid's first hi-fi bar: 400 m² with DJ booths, exclusive vinyl records (heir to the Japanese jazz kissa) and high-fidelity funk/disco music. Classic and signature cocktails, Iberian torreznos, croquettes or steak tartare. Open from 17:00 to 04:00 every day — ideal for a drink with an unforgettable soundtrack.

For a sweet finish, Maritta (Calle Naciones, Salamanca) launches its new cheesecake with Belgian chocolate ganache, with no biscuit base or flour (suitable for coeliacs). Artisan-baked (up to 300 a day), available in flavours such as pistachio, caramel or hazelnut, as well as the classic one. Orders until 20:00 on the previous day, in various sizes.
