Uber launches a Christmas challenge at Atocha
The Uber stand at Atocha has turned the app's usual ranking into a chance to take home an unexpected Christmas prize.
Until 9 December, the Madrid-Puerta de Atocha station has an Uber space where passengers are offered the chance to check which category of users they belong to: «good» or «not so good». The promotion is called «Gifts or coal?» and is linked to the app rating: the higher the score, the more generous the surprise.
Travellers with a rating of 4.9 are considered «super-good» and can enter the draw for one thousand euros in Uber credits to buy train tickets. Those whose rating is slightly lower but above 4.8 will have the opportunity to spin the wheel for gifts ranging from mugs and Christmas decorations to ticket discounts. And users with a more modest rating will receive a sweet «coal» and 10% in Uber credits for their next purchase.
