Barcelona launches a floating festival with concerts on the sea
This June Barcelona will add a new festival that changes the usual setting: Blaumarí will bring concerts to a floating platform in the harbour, with the Mediterranean as a backdrop.
The event will take place from 10 to 28 June at the Moll de Barcelona Nord, next to the World Trade Center, with a programme that brings together international and national artists. Among the confirmed names are Kamasi Washington, Gipsy Kings, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Rufus Wainwright, The Cardigans, UB40, and Joss Stone, as well as local acts such as Carlos Núñez and Xoel López.
The line-up also features different formats, including a night of habaneras, a staged version of La Traviata, and a show that blends electronic music with orchestra. The idea is to offer daily concerts in an unusual setting, where music and the maritime landscape become part of the same experience.
Tickets go on sale on 23 March at 10:00, with high expectations for a proposal that opts for a unique format within the city's music calendar.
The port is no longer just a place for passing through or tourism, but becomes an active stage. Seeing a concert on the water, with the city as a backdrop, transforms the way music is experienced and opens up new possibilities for urban leisure.
