Motorcyclist seriously injured after colliding with a car near Avenida de América
An accident at the Avenida de América exit towards the M-30 has left a motorcyclist seriously injured this Tuesday and disrupted traffic at one of the most sensitive points in Madrid's road network. The crash, which also involved a car, required emergency services to intervene quickly.
The motorcyclist, a middle-aged man, was treated at the scene by Samur-Protección Civil health workers. After being stabilised, he was taken to hospital in a serious condition under a Policía Municipal escort, which cleared the way for the ambulance through traffic in the area.
The accident caused tailbacks and occasional diversions at a time of heavy traffic, especially for those trying to join the M-30 from the Avenida de América area.
