Two dead and three seriously injured after a head-on crash in Humanes
A head-on collision between two cars has left two people dead and three seriously injured this Friday on the M-410, near Humanes de Madrid. The accident occurred shortly after half past five in the morning and affected traffic on a route heavily used for journeys in the south of the region.
The accident occurred at kilometre 7.5 of the road. Firefighters from the Community of Madrid, Summa 112 medical staff and Civil Guard officers attended the scene, and they are now investigating the causes of the collision.
One of the vehicles was occupied only by its driver. Firefighters had to free him from inside the car and medical staff tried to resuscitate him, but in the end they could only confirm his death.
Four men were travelling in the second car. One of them also died after being treated at the accident scene, while the other three occupants suffered serious injuries with multiple trauma.
The injured people, aged between 18 and 36, were transferred to Puerta de Hierro, Doce de Octubre and Gregorio Marañón hospitals. Their condition required a rapid healthcare response at a particularly sensitive time for commuting.
After attending to the victims, firefighters worked to clean the carriageway, removing debris from the vehicles and reducing risks for other drivers. The Civil Guard is keeping the investigation open to clarify how the head-on crash occurred.
The M-410 connects several municipalities south of Madrid and carries heavy traffic early in the morning, especially between residential areas, industrial estates and access roads to other routes. An accident of this severity not only closes or slows traffic; it also disrupts the routine of those who use this road to get to work.
For drivers in the area, the incident leaves a morning marked by diversions, traffic jams and concern. The investigation will determine the causes, but the immediate impact has already been felt on a secondary road key to the daily mobility of the metropolitan south.
